Tasting notes
Dark red cherries, plums, spices, mint and new leather meld together in the 2013 Pinot Noir River Block. The flavors are dark, bold and incisive, with purplish overtones and plenty of spiciness to match the typical Russian River exuberance. This is one of the more open, sumptuous wines in the range.

The 2013 Pinot Noir River Block possesses a stunning inner-core of brilliant black cherries, black raspberries, spring flowers and a touch of earth as well as a medium to full-bodied, layered mouthfeel. Similar to a great grand cru from the Côte de Nuits, this beauty possesses the lushness to be approachable in its youth, but will not hit its stride for another 2-4 years, and should last for 12-15.
