Score 90/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous
Medium-deep red. Vibrant, complex aromas of black raspberry, bacon fat and graphite. Lush and fat on entry, then uncompromisingly dry and peppery on the back half. More perfumed than fleshy in the mouth; very French in style. Not hugely ripe but the tannins are fine. These seven-year-old vines were cropped at less than a ton of fruit per acre.
