The 2008 On The White Keys is powerful, dense and creamy. At the same time, the wine retains striking depth and freshness. Unctuous and exquisitely layered, the 2008 is one of the most impressive wines in this range. The vibrant Sauvignon aromatics have receded, the edges have softened, and what comes through is an impeccable, ample white wine full of personality. I loved it. The 2008 was served from a 500ml bottle, as the winery had no remaining stock of the wine in standard 750ml bottles.

(87% sauvignon blanc and 13% Semillon) Medium yellow. Exotic, honeyed nose. Rich, broad and dry, with a lanolin-like texture to the broad stone and citrus fruit flavors. Quite viscous for this bottling. With its sauvignon blanc pungency a bit subdued today, this has the palate presence of a chardonnay.
Composed of 87% Sauvignon Blanc and 13% Semillon that is put through partial malolactic, the 2008 On The White Keys exhibits subtle notions of lemon oil, nectarine, and honeyed grapefruit in a medium-bodied, fresh, slightly spicy/oaky style.
