A gorgeous, striking wine, the 2013 On The White Keys Artists' Reserve exudes energy and freshness. Lemon confit, white flowers, sage and mint give the 2013 much of its lifted, aromatic personality. The 2013 spent its second year in neutral French oak barrels, which seem to have given the wine an extra kick of polish and nuance, with none of the reductive character found in the straight bottling. This is a fabulous showing.

The 2013 On The White Keys, Arietta's Sauvignon/Semillon blend, is fabulous. Peach, mint, slate, honey and jasmine meld together in the glass. The 2013 is rich, ample and voluptuous, with bright minerality that comes alive on the finish. Ideally the 2013 needs to be opened a few hours in advance to allow the bouquet to become fully expressive.
