Good medium red. Highly aromatic nose combines crushed raspberry, smoky minerality and an element of garrigue. Vibrant but youthfully uncompromising, with terrific inner-mouth perfume to the flavors of raspberry, flowers and herbs. Really spreads out to saturate the palate. The finish is firm, sappy and very long. This will require eight to ten years to approach maturity. Outstanding potential.

Good full red. Complex, slightly reduced nose offers black raspberry, smoke, coffee, violet and exotic herbs. Dense, sweet, creamy and full, with ripe raspberry and pomegranate flavors complicated by spices, flowers, smoke and earth. Really spreads out to saturate the palate on the very long, lush back end. Serious stuffing here, especially in the context of the vintage, but then these very old vines are planted on pale calcaire above Musigny.
