Score 96/100 · Drink 2023-2035, Jeb Dunnuck, Jan 2021

Always in the running for one of the best examples of Sauvignon coming out of California, the 2018 Sauvignon Blanc 29 Estate reveals a vivid gold color as well as Haut-Brion Blanc-like notes of lemon curd, ripe pineapple, white flowers, honeysuckle, and crushed stone-like minerality. With medium to full-bodied richness, beautiful concentration, and a bright spine of acidity, it's going to benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age and keep for over a decade. It's a gorgeous, classic Sauvignon.

The 2018 Sauvignon Blanc 29 Estate charges out of the gate with bold scents of white peaches, fresh grapefruit and passion fruit plus nuances of honeydew melon, struck flint, paraffin wax and orange blossoms. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is laden with juicy peach and tropical fruit layers, supported by a racy backbone and bold freshness, finishing long and perfumed.
