Blended from a number of the Napa Valley's AVAs, Lail's 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Blueprint also contains a 4% splash of Petit Verdot. Aged in 45% new French oak for 17 months, it remains nicely fruit forward, with prominent notes of blueberries and cassis. Full-bodied and soft but richly textured, it's an easy-drinking Cab with a long, velvety finish. For sub-$100, it has to be considered a fine value in the context of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.

A great value from this team, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Blueprint offers classic Cabernet notes of blueberries, currants, chocolate, and a touch of chocolaty minerality in a full-bodied, round, layered, concentrated style. It should keep for 10-15 years.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Blueprint is a fabulous entry-level wine from Robin Lail. Crème de cassis, chocolate, spice, new leather and cloves are all kicked up in this juicy, flamboyant, plush Cabernet. The Blueprint is made from a collection of top sites on Napa Valley. Best of all, it remains a fabulous value.
