The 2017 Chardonnay Wingtine comes from a handful of sites and is always a good introduction to the vintage. Fermented and aged in 10% new oak, it offers a classic Burgundian bouquet of stone fruits, crushed citrus, some obvious minerality, and a kiss of oak. It has a beautiful freshness as well as an alluring reductive quality that's balanced by beautiful fruit and texture. It's a beautiful, elegant wine. 204 cases.
The 2017 Chardonnay Wingtine is gorgeous. Orchard fruit, lemon confit, chamomile and lightly honeyed notes all grace this exquisite, super-expressive Chardonnay. Silky, open-knit and creamy, the 2017 has so much to offer. Tasted from barrel, Wingtine is a blend of fruit from Charles Heintz and the Radio-Coteau Estate. The Wingtine looks like it could be a real overachiever in 2017.
