Tasting notes
Dakota Shy's 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) is a glorious wine. Ample, rich and inviting, but not at all overdone, the 2016 hits all the right notes. Blueberry pie, chocolate, licorice and spice flesh out as this finely sketched, classy Cabernet shows off its considerable appeal. Vineyard sources are Moulds, Paras, Red Hen, Skellenger, Round Pond and Heimark.

The deep purple-black colored 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon opens with exuberant notes of crushed blackberries, warm black cherries, cassis and chocolate box with hints of tobacco, cedar chest, menthol and violets. Medium to full-bodied, the juicy black fruit fills the mouth with plenty of floral accents and a plush frame, finishing on a lingering minty note.
