The 2012 Pinot Noir Two Brothers comes from multiple sites in the Sonoma Coast AVA, saw a splash of stems in the fermentation, and spent 18 months in roughly 30% new French oak. It offers enjoyable notes of baked cherries, spiced meats, forest floor, and dried herbs, medium-bodied richness, an evolved style and a clean finish. Drink it over the coming 3-4 years.

This vintage was produced with 30% whole cluster and aged in French barrels for 16 months, 30% new. Pale to medium ruby-purple colored, the 2014 Pinot Noir Two Brothers is open for business with a gregarious nose of kirsch, raspberry preserves and baking spices plus a touch of roses. Medium to full-bodied and richly fruited in the mouth, it packs in the spicy red berry flavors with velvety tannins and just enough freshness to support, finishing long. (LPB)

Juicy redcurrant fruit, smooth tannin, spiced finish. Pure and very rounded, but also hotly alcoholic without much complexity. (RH)

Crushed rose petals, raspberries, mint and cinnamon are some of the notes that lift from the glass in Donelan's 2012 Pinot Noir Two Brothers. I would prefer to drink the 2012 sooner rather than later. Over the last year, some of the radiance and sweetness that was present in barrel has faded.
