Tasting notes
The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Expedition comes 60-70% from the valley floor, with the rest from the estate on Atlas Peak. It has a gorgeous texture and is full-bodied and layered on the palate, with ripe red and black fruits, tobacco, chocolate, and crushed stone-like aromas and flavors. It's beautifully textured, ripe, and layered, with velvety tannins.

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Expedition is a blend taken from valley floor and mountain sites, mostly estate. Succulent dark cherry, plum, spice, leather, mocha and rose petal all meld together in this racy, plush Cabernet Sauvignon. All the elements are so well balanced. This should drink well with minimal cellaring.
Primarily fruit from the Base Camp site, with some Stags Ridge, Seven Apart's 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Expedition is a fine effort. Notes of crème de cassis and blackberries join hints of vanilla and cedar on the nose, while the palate is full-bodied, rich, velvety and plush, with a long, silky finish. It's pretty impressive for a sub-$200 Napa Cab.
