Tasting notes
The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Helena Dakota Vineyard is laced with a host of mineral and soil-driven elements that add considerable nuance to the dark, plush fruit. Smoke, graphite, gravel, incense, blackberry jam and menthol give the 2015 its layered, beautifully expressive personality. I would prefer to give the 2015 a few years in bottle to allow the tannins to soften. This is another impressive showing from Anakota and Pierre Seillan. (AG)

Very deep purple-black in color, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Helena Dakota Vineyard has a compelling savoriness of char-grilled meat and roasted nuts on the nose with a core of crème de cassis, violets and crushed plums plus a touch of garrigue. Medium-bodied and tautly structured with firm, fine-grained tannins and seamless freshness, it has a incredible depth of primary fruit and earthy layers, finishing with incredible length and a lovely mineral hint. 432 cases produced.
The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Helena Dakota is laced with the essence of graphite, smoke, gravel, pencil shavings, blueberry jam and dark spices. Firm, incisive tannins give the wine its shape and feel. This is a classic Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, with all of the signatures amped up by the natural intensity of the year.
