Medium-deep red. Aromas of strawberry liqueur and pepper; distinct notes of surmaturite Fat, superripe and creamy, with a suave mouth feel. Somewhat exotic notes of leather and damp earth. On the soft side but with substantial ripe tannins. Meo says this needs time in bottle.

Bright red-ruby. Raspberry, cherry, roasted meat, chocolate and flowers on the slightly reduced nose. Juicy but a bit withdrawn, showing some leathery and meaty evidence of reduction. But this shows good life in the mouth.
