Tasting notes
A still very primary sexy black fruit nose with lovely hints of soy, hoisin and clove introduce seductive but entirely serious intense, mouth coating and relatively powerful flavors that are still very firmly structured yet culminate in a velvety finish as the ample dry extract completely buffers the tannins. This is a classic Suchots in every respect and should prove to be a wonderful example in time.

(25% new oak) Deep ruby-red. Black raspberry, violet and licorice on the pure but reticent nose. Sweet, tangy flavors of dark raspberry, blackberry and smoke; this boasts a terrific core of fruit and excellent energy thanks to brisk acidity. Finishes with a very firm structure, but the sappy fruit outlasts the serious tannins. I love this style.
