Vivid ruby-red. Sexy, oak-spiced dark berries and cherry-cola on the perfumed nose and in the mouth. Fleshy, broad and deep, with a touch of smokiness emerging with aeration. Clings with very good intensity on the persistent finish, which is framed by velvety, late-arriving tannins.

(two-thirds new oak): Bright ruby. Oak-spiced dark berries and cherry on the nose, along with suggestions of cola and mocha. Sweet black raspberry and violet pastille flavors are sharpened by a peppery quality and pick up smokiness with aeration. Broad and fleshy in style, closing with strong back-end power, supple tannins and a lingering hint of dark fruit liqueur.
