Tasting notes
Moving to the Viognier release, the 2015 Viognier Kobler Family Vineyard comes from the Green Valley portion of the Russian River Valley, but there’s barely any made, with just 48 cases out there. It offers a rich, opulent style as well as classic Viognier notes of buttered peach, apricot, celery seed, and honeysuckle. Beautifully textured, rounded, and mouthfilling, it’s drinking at point today, but I like its core of acidity and suspect it’s going to continue evolving nicely. Nevertheless, no need to delay gratification.

One of the classiest Viogniers being made in California, the 2015 Viognier Kobler Family Vineyard is absolutely beautiful. Floral and translucent, the Viognier possesses striking nuance from start to finish. Chamomile, floral-infused honey, apricot and jasmine notes add shades of complexity throughout. The 2015 is impeccable balanced and full of personality. Don't miss it.
With an expressive nose of ripe apricots, musk melons and honeyed toast, the 2015 Viognier Kobler Family Vineyard has hints of coriander seed and aniseed. Medium to full-bodied, it has rich, exotically spiced flavors with a pleasantly creamy texture and a long, lively finish. 48 cases were made.
