The 2016 Pinot Noir Eastside Road Neighbors has a pale to medium ruby-purple color and scents of stewed black tea leaves, tree bark, warm black cherries, mixed berry preserves, nutmeg, cinnamon stick and notes of citrus peel with red fruit sparks at the core—this is wonderfully spicy and smells like the holidays! Light to medium-bodied, it offers great intensity of flavor layers in the mouth with finely dispersed, grainy tannins and fantastic juicy acidity, finishing very long and layered. (EB)

This is actually quite aromatically similar to the Calegari but even spicier. The wonderfully textured, intense and solidly concentrated flavors display plenty of sappy dry extract that does a fine job of buffering the fine but very firm tannins shaping the even more youthfully austere and strikingly persistent finish. Patience absolutely essential however. *Outstanding*

One of the many highlights in this range, the 2016 Pinot Noir Eastside Road Neighbors is going to need a few years in bottle to shed some of its formidable tannin. Powerful and yet also engaging, the 2016 is likely to enjoy a long life once it softens a bit. Exotic spice, Christmas cake, star anise, rosewater and orange peel add myriad shades of nuance to the exotic dark fruit. Patience will be rewarded. (AG) 93+

The medium ruby-purple colored 2015 Pinot Noir Eastside Road Neighbors has a wonderfully spicy nose featuring notes of allspice, fenugreek, cloves and anise over a core of black cherries, warm red currants and pomegranate with a waft of fertile loam. Medium-bodied, soft, spicy and seductive, it offers beautiful poise and compelling depth. (LPB) 92+
