Bright yellow. Seductively perfumed aromas of Meyer lemon, orange peel, pear, floral honey and gently smoky lees. Vibrant and sharply focused, offering lively citrus and orchard fruit flavors and a slow-building leesy quality. Gains weight with air while maintaining focus and finishes with suave spice, mineral and floral character. John Raytek, who makes these wines from his wife's family vineyard, is the assistant winemaker at Copain and helped to set up Rhys Vineyards in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
