Light, bright gold. Pungent aromas of pear skin, orange, smoked meat, lees and iodine, with a suave floral overtone. Sappy orchard fruit flavors pack a serious punch and are lifted by tangy minerality, which gives the wine serious penetration and cut. Weightier on the persistent finish, which leaves smoke, mineral and sweet citrus notes behind. These vines are all old Wente clones, according to Raytek.
