Tasting notes
The 2013 Chardonnay Porter-Bass Vineyard is nicely delineated in the glass. Subtle and nicely layered throughout, the Porter-Bass has plenty of personality. Scents of dried pear, flowers and smoke are enticing, but like so many of the 2013s here, the Porter-Bass lacks depth and concentration. Drink this soft, easygoing Chardonnay over the next 2-3 years.

Crushed rocks, lemon peel, white pepper and jasmine burst from the glass in the 2013 Chardonnay Porter-Bass Vineyard, a vertical, bracing Chardonnay built on energy and pure, mineral-inflected drive. Bright citrus and floral notes reappear on the crystalline finish. This is a terrific showing from Ceritas.
