Score 97/100 · Drink 2016-2046, Robert Parker, Jan 2016
Winemaker and proprietor Sam Kaplan is behind this absolutely brilliant 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon, which is a composite blend from three famous Napa vineyards B Weitz, Las Piedras, and Dr. Crane, the last two owned by the ubiquitous and omnipresent Andy Beckstoffer. A wine of great intensity, voluptuous, full-bodied texture, tremendous blueberry and blackberry fruit, with white flowers, charcoal embers and spice, the wine has superb texture, a multi-dimensional mouthfeel, and a finish that goes on for close to 50 seconds. The tannins are creamy and ripe, and the wine irresistible already. Drink it over the next 30 years. This is brilliant!
