Tasting notes
The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) is nearly black/purple in color with notes of pen ink, graphite, volcanic charcoal embers, blackberry and cassis. Its killer aromatics are followed by a surreally concentrated wine that’s almost beyond belief. Super-intense, incredibly pure, full-bodied and built for 50 years or more of potential cellaring, this is absolutely amazing wine and probably the greatest effort to date from Constant. The good news is there are 370 cases. The wine tips the scales at a fairly lofty 14.9% natural alcohol. Forget it for 4-5 years and drink it over the following half-century.

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon is gorgeous. A host of super-ripe black fruit, hard candy, mint and exotic spices are pushed forward. Ripe, powerful and voluptuous, but with plenty of supporting tannin lurking in the background, the 2013 is long on personality and class. This is a highly representative 2013 endowed with serious power and intensity.
The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon takes hold of all the senses with its assertive personality and breathtaking beauty. Austere in the best sense of the word, the Cabernet Sauvignon boasts superb intensity and enough depth to drink well for many years. Violets, black/purplish fruit, spices, mint, cedar and orange peel flow through to the huge yet totally effortless finish. I can only imagine just how beautiful the 2013 might be in a few years' time.
