Tasting notes
From seventy-year-old vines, the 2017 Chassagne-Montrachet La Goujonne bursts from the glass with a perfumed bouquet of crunchy red fruits and flowers. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, succulent and flavorful, with a light structuring chassis of youthfully chewy tannin and a mouthwatering finish.

The 2017 Chassagne Montrachet Goujonne Rouge, is raised in 20% new oak with 50% whole bunches, has a delightful red cherry and cranberry scented bouquet. The palate is medium bodied with crisp tannin, quite sharp on the entry but with fine precision on the finish. Fine.
This wine has been matured in 20% new wood, racked just now to older wood and sulphured for the first time. 50% whole bunch fermentation. The colour is mid-red with very youthful fruit on the nose. This is really vibrant, exuberant even, with nothing like the tightness I used to expect of Olivier’s reds.
