Score 92/100 · Drink 1997-2012, Pierre Rovani, Oct 1997

The 1995 Coteaux du Layon-Chaume exhibits orange zests, honeysuckle and minerals scents and a lively, powerful and concentrated core of Sicilian blood oranges, flint, earth and honey. This is a medium-to-full-bodied wine that possesses the combination of muscle and refinement that is so enthralling in the Loire's sweet whites. It will be at its best between now and 2012. Importer: Neil Rosenthal, Select Vineyards, Shekomeko, NY; tel (800) 910-1990.
