2015 Meursault Chevalieres

Bright, light yellow. White peach, lemon and orange zest aromas are enlivened by talc-like minerality. Dense, ripe and penetrating, with its sexy sweetness perfectly buffered by strong calcaire -driven minerality. A classic harmonious, fresh, mineral-driven Meursault with excellent extract and an energetic, slowly rising finish. Really showcases Fichet's precise style, but also communicates the richness of the vintage. This was extremely promising a year ago from barrel and it has brought its energy, tactile grip and minerality into the bottle. I can see this salty wine lasting very well.

Low key and a bit dull. (JR)

Lovely ripe limey lift to the yellow peach and crushed stone aromas. Even more minerally in 2015 than the Gruyaches, with harmonious acidity framing and energizing the wine's sweet stone fruit and citrus flavors. Hints at sweetness but this concentrated, very long wine is bone-dry and gripping. A superb example of fully ripe fruit from rocky calcaire soil.
