Score 86-88/100 · Drink 2019-2024, Neal Martin, Jan 2019

The 2017 Savigny-lès-Beaune Vergelesses Blanc 1er Cru suffered a lot in 2016 due to frost, and the vines reached maximum yield this year. The bouquet is a little reticent, needing more penetration. The palate is rounded with good weight in the mouth, maybe just missing a little bite, especially toward the finish. An easygoing Savigny to enjoy over the next four to five years.
