Tasting notes
Tasca's 2010 Chardonnay is quite striking. I have to admit, I am not a fan of Sicilian Chardonnay, but this is about as good as it gets. Once a tropical and heavily oaked wine, over the last few years the Chardonnay has become much more varietally expressive and polished. Hints of lemon, spices are layered into the expansive, polished finish.

Tasca’s 2010 Chardonnay is quite striking. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2016. Alberto Tasca’s relentless search for quality is the driving force behind this reference-point Sicilian estate. I have been following the Tasca wines for well over two decades now, and am still as impressed today as I was when these were among the few quality wines I could afford. This set of new releases includes Tasca’s first wines from their property on the Etna. A Leonardo Lo Cascio Selection, Winebow, Montvale, NJ; tel. (201) 445-0620
