Tasting notes
The 2019 Zinfandel Sadie Upton Vineyard is elegant, nuanced and wonderfully lifted. Crushed red berry fruit, cinnamon, mint, blood orange and sage lend notable aromatic complexity and nuance. There is a feeling of transparency here that is utterly beguiling. This is a classic Amador wine, and certainly one of the finest examples I have tasted. Sadly, 2020 will be the last vintage of this wine for Turley.

The medium ruby colored 2019 Zinfandel Sadie Upton Vineyard has wonderfully spicy red and black berry aromas and hints of floral perfume. The medium-bodied palate explodes with spicy flavor layers, softly structured and juicy with a long, layered finish. It deserves another year or two in bottle. 250 cases were made.
The 2019 Zinfandel Sadie Upton Vineyard is one of the most distinctive wines in the lineup. It screams with Zinfandel character right out of the glass. Sweet red cherry, cedar, tobacco, mint and dried flowers are all laced throughout this super-expressive, inviting Zinfandel. Silky contours add to its immediacy and appeal. Dollops of Cinsault and Mission round out the blend.
