Very light and smooth. Lots of acidity. And some pretty chewy tannins on the end. (JR)

From 65-year-old vines, the 2013 Chassagne-Montrachet Rouge La Goujonne has brambly dark berries on the nose mixed with briary and forest floor scents. The palate is fresh and vibrant with tart red cherries that belie those rigid tannins underneath, suggesting that it will need a year or two in bottle. Not bad, although Olivier did produce more exciting fare in 2013.
