Loads of black cherries and cassis are intermingled with candied black raspberries in the aromas of the 2002 Syrah En Cerise Vineyard. This creamy-textured, medium-bodied wine is broad, lush, and long in the finish. Its dark cherry flavors are expressive and smile-inducing.

Bright, saturated ruby-red. Knockout nose offers roasted dark fruits, baking spices, violet, gunflint and bonfire. Sweet, full and impressively concentrated; perhaps the most pliant today of this set of syrahs. Wonderfully sweet red and black fruit flavors enlivened by firm acids and underlying minerality. Finishes suave and long, with some emerging notes of tar and chocolate. The best vintage to date for this bottling.
