Score 90/100 · Drink 2019-2020, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, May 2019
The 2007 Chardonnay Mays Canyon is pretty, but also fully mature. Graphite, butter, orange marmelade, spice and vanillin add an attractive touch of exoticism. Any remaining bottles need to be finished.

Bright, pale yellow. Riper aromas of citrus, melon, honey, creamed corn and lees. Big, rich and ripe; less floral and aromatic than the Charles Heintz but with more body. Shows an intriguing waxy element. Finishes classically dry and a bit youthfully inexpressive.
