Score 90.5/100 · Drink 0-0, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous
Deep red. Subdued but pure aromas of maraschino cherry, raspberry and mint. Sappy and bright in the mouth, but less dense than the Taillepieds and rather closed today. Shows a bit less middle-palate flesh for its dusty tannins than the Taillepieds, but this may simply be displaying the color-suppressing and texture-hardening effects of the SO2 added at the September racking. Finishes long and fruity.
