Score 95-96/100 · Drink 2029-2050, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Jun 2024

Ready to be bottled, the 2022 Pinot Noir Malans Unique is entirely based on low-yielding French genetics (from vines with an average age of 20) and has been aged in new French barriques for nearly 18 months. The wine opens with a very elegant and delicate yet intense Pinot aroma intertwined with fine, dark toast and oak aromas. Dense and powerful on the palate, this is a deep and distinctive, very intense and juicy Pinot with fine and spicy tannins and a long, promising finish. Tasted at the domaine in March 2024.
