Tasting notes
The 2017 Zinfandel Salvador Vineyard offers tons of exuberance. Super-ripe black cherry, spice, new leather, mint, licorice and tobacco infuse the 2017 with notable aromatic complexity. Dark and racy with tons of depth, the 2017 is a wonderfully plush, giving Zinfandel to drink now and over the next decade.

The 2017 Zinfandel Salvador Vineyard comes from own-rooted vines planted in 1896 on pure sand. Medium to deep ruby-purple in color, it has a singular nose of exotic spices, opening to candied peach and dried blueberries over a core of warm black and blue fruit preserves. Medium to full-bodied, it has wonderfully concentrated flavor layers in the mouth, with firm, grainy tannins and very juicy acidity, finishing very long, layered and spicy. 600 cases produced.
The 2017 Zinfandel Salvador Vineyard is racy and super-expressive to the core. A rush of black cherry, plum, new leather, spice, tobacco and menthol race across the palate in a striking, exceptionally polished Zinfandel from Turley.
