Really fine-boned, steely nose. Masses of what tastes like thoroughly natural acidity and a stone-fruit character. Nectarines? Very complete and youthful. (JR)

The 2013 Chardonnay (Sonoma Coast) is a gorgeous entry-level offering. Lemon peel, white pepper, white flowers and pears meld together in an effortless, precise Chardonnay long on personality and real class. The flavors are bright, focused and nuanced throughout. The Sonoma Coast Chardonnay is made mostly from purchased fruit, but it is nevertheless a terrific entry-level wine that captures the house style nicely.
