Score 94/100 · Drink 2021-2041, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Apr 2023

The 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Gravelly Meadow is a super-classic Diamond Creek wine. Still quite fresh and vibrant, the 2001 has aged impeccably. Bright acids perk up a core of sweet red berry fruit, spice, mint, tobacco and dried leaves. There is a hint of brett, but it is very much in the background. The tannins have softened, making the 2001 an absolute pleasure to taste today.
