Tasting better than it did in December, 2008, the 2006, which was produced from a small crop, exhibits a dark plum/garnet color as well as sweet, earthy, herbal notes intermixed with hints of sassafras, black cherries, raspberries and spicy underbrush. Medium-bodied and deep with sweet tannin, it appears to be on a fast evolutionary track, so consume it over the next 5-6 years.

Vivid red color. Deeper, brooding cherry and dark berry aromas are complicated by mocha and licorice. Chewy dark fruit flavors stain the palate and are framed by dusty tannins. Smoothes out on the broad, sweet finish, with the dark berry note repeating This needs some time.
