Tasting notes
The 2015 Cabernet Franc Nathan Coombs Estate is laced with a whole range of intensely savory notes. Franc at Paul Hobbs' Coombsville estate is super-expressive. The tannins are quite potent, so readers will have to be patient, but there is so much to look forward to. Time in the glass brings out a range of compelling sweet tobacco, leather and grilled herb nuances that are incredibly suggestive with regards to what the future holds.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2015 Cabernet Franc Nathan Coombs Estate delivers vibrant blackberries, black raspberries, black cherries and red currant notes with touches of forest floor, pencil shavings and truffles. The medium to full-bodied palate delivers very firm, chewy tannins and a lively backbone, defining the restrained palate and lending texture to the long finish. 210 cases were made.
