Aged 10 months in neutral oak, the medium ruby colored 2017 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast is scented of fresh blueberries and plum with orange oil, charcuterie, raspberry and strawberry preserves and classic notes of cola and forest floor. The palate is light to medium-bodied with perfumed fruits and a silky texture, finishing long and lifted by juicy acidity. 750 cases produced.

Another brilliant value from this label is the 2017 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast, one of the few wines made in any real quantities. Lots of spice, leafy herbs, smoke tobacco, and blackberry and black cherry fruit all emerge from this medium-bodied, rounded, supple, and ready-to-go beauty that’s ideal for drinking over the coming 6-7 years.
One of the highlights in this lineup, the 2017 Pinot Noir (Anderson Valley) is absolutely gorgeous. Bright and floral, with terrific fruit presence and exceptional quality, the 2017 is positively stellar. The purity of the flavors is simply striking. Bright red cherry, lavender, rose petal and spice all race out of the glass in this stunningly beautiful wine. The Anderson Valley Pinot is sourced entirely from the Bearwallow Vineyard, which belongs to Kevin Harvey of Rhys. I am not sure how sustainable buying this level of fruit is for an appellation-level wine. The bottom line is that this is a tremendous value for the consumer. Buy it while you can.
