Tasting notes
Shockingly, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Mount Veeder is even better. Coming from one of my favorite terroirs in the Valley and all Cabernet Sauvignon aged 22 months in 80% new French oak, it boasts a deep, saturated purple color as well as incredible complexity in its cassis, blueberries, violets, lavender, leafy herbs, and dried earth. It's another powerful, concentrated, structured wine that shows its mountain heritage. With full body, building yet pure, silky tannins, and a huge finish, forget bottles for 4-6 years, count yourself lucky, and enjoy over the following 30 years or more.

Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the deep garnet-purple colored 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Mt Veeder gives up scents of crushed red and black plums, fresh blackcurrants and blackberry compote with touches of garrigue, lavender, underbrush and bay leaves. The medium to full-bodied palate sports wonderful intensity and tension, with a very firm, grainy frame and beautiful freshness supporting the floral and earth-inspired layers through the long finish.
