Tasting notes
The 2020 Nuits Saint-Georges Roncière 1er Cru has a cohesive nose. It offers black cherries, blueberries and light violet scents, perhaps the best fruit in this flight. There's a little more delineation here. The palate is medium-bodied with finer tannins than its peers. It has black fruit laced with tobacco and white pepper. The finish is grippy and assertive, but it coped with the heat better than its peers. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.

The 2020 Nuits Saint-Georges Roncière 1er Cru has a fragrant bouquet with open-knit red berry fruit, briary and light ferrous scents in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, slightly grainy in texture, quite mineral drive with a touch of allspice and clove on the finish. Good acidity here, citric on the aftertaste.
