Score 88/100 · Drink 2003-2007, Robert Parker, Aug 2003
The 2001 Shiraz The Lodge Hill is interesting, as well as an excellent value. This 100% Shiraz aged in American wood, is a dark ruby/purple-colored example revealing plenty of earthy, black fruits intermixed with pepper, spice, and leather. This chewy, well-made Australian red is meant to be drunk over the next 3-4 years. Importer: Negociants, USA, Napa, CA; tel. (707) 259-0993
