Tasting notes
Medium red. Aromas of redcurrant, leather, nuts and smoke. Sweet, plummy wine with good juicy life in the mouth. Finishes with substantial, slightly dry tannins and notes of game and leather.

The first vineyard Marchand harvested in 2003, the Savigny-Les-Beaune Marconnets, is produced from 60-year old vines and aged in 50% new oak. Its reveals waxy black cherry scents and a medium-bodied, silky-textured character. Loads of black cherries are found in this fruit-forward effort. Drink it over the next 5 years.
