Score 91/100 · Drink 2012-2021, Jay S Miller, Wine Advocate, Jun 2009

The 2006 Les Terrasses is a blend of 60% Carinena, 30% Garnacha, with the balance Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. It was aged for 12 months in 20% new French oak. Purple-colored, it exhibits a fragrant bouquet of cedar, mineral, spice box, incense, black cherry, and blackberry. This is followed by a full-bodied, dense, rich wine with excellent harmony, potential complexity, and a fruit-filled finish. It has enough structure to evolve for several years and will deliver prime drinking from 2012 to 2021. Importer: Manny Berk, The Rare Wine Company, Sonoma, CA; tel. (707) 996-4484

Dark crimson with admirably fresh nose and some characteristically mineral/schistous nose.  Sweet start but not excessively so. Neat and well balanced.  Dry finish. Very complete with no excess of alcohol and no obvious sign of oak at all.    (JR)

65% Carignan .  Dense, black fruit and cake mix, chocolate-mint, violets, leather and fennel aromas. Blackcurrant, chocolate-covered cherry, powdery tannin, cassis, spice. Warm spices, but not peppery, with just a little heat on the finish. (RH)

Bright red. Lively red fruits on the nose, with strong mineral and floral qualities adding energy. Fresh, mineral-driven strawberry and raspberry flavors are firmed by gentle acidity and betray no obvious tannins. Silky, sweet and spicy on the finish, which strongly echoes the raspberry note. I prefer this wine's vivacity to last year's version.
