Tasting notes
Bright, light yellow. Sexy high-toned scents of ripe peach, orange zest, menthol and spices, with a complicating floral element. Very ripe peach fruit is enlivened by salty minerality, a touch of leesy complexity and surprising acidity, giving this wine good inner-mouth lift and grip. I like the interplay of sweet fruit and savory qualities but another year in the cellar should bring a more harmonious wine. Finishes with a lively suggestion of underripe pineapple and very good tactile length.

Savoury and minerally and lots of chalky stuff to chew on. Really racy and rewarding. (JR)
Reticent but pure and complex scents of lemon oil, menthol and gingery spices. Intensely flavored and tightly wound, conveying superb cut to its lemon, lime and spice flavors. The yield here was a fairly full 52 hectoliters per hectare (Fichet is allowed to produce 22 barrels and made 21 in 2015) but this wine nonetheless shows a superb echoing finish. Fichet told me he prefers the Chevalières but this wine is already wonderfully seductive.
