The appellation 2019 Chardonnay Sonoma Coast is classic Kutch with its pure, racy, focused style. Lots of crushed citrus, rocky earth, spice, and hints of white flowers give way to a medium-bodied Chardonnay that has good concentration, a bright spine of acidity, and a great, salty finish. It will keep for a solid 7-8 years.

Full bottle 1,405 g. 450 cases made and matured in old French oak. From the Bohan vineyard. Ambient yeast and natural malo. Aged on lees in barrel for 12 months followed by six months in tank. Very impressive nose with real energy. (And I have just been tasting André Moingeon's 2019 white burgundies.) Fresh and crisp with just the right amount of clean fruit. Not complex but so pristine and well balanced! (JR)

The 2019 Chardonnay (Sonoma Coast) is fabulous. Rich, textured and wonderfully deep, the 2019 balances fruit intensity with bright acids and a good deal of supporting structure. Lemon confit, white flowers, mint and chamomile all meld together effortlessly. All of this fruit comes from the Bohan Vineyard.
