Tasting notes
The 2014 Pinot Noir West Ridge comes from a series of hilltop vineyard blocks along the west ridge of the vineyard and is a barrel selection from the top six parcels. This light ruby-colored effort offers a terrific perfume of light strawberry and raspberry fruits as well as hints of spring flowers, forest floor, and some loamy soil notes. Elegant, medium-bodied, ethereal, and lightly textured, it’s beautifully balanced and about as gulpable as they come. Drink this charming effort over the coming 7-8 years.

The 2014 Pinot Noir Estate West Ridge is powerful and incisive, with deceptive power and plenty of tannic underpinning. Bright red cherry, kirsch, orange zest and rose petal notes give the wine its exotic personality. Constantly changing in the glass, the 2014 is beautiful, beguiling and intriguing. The 2014 is exotic and eccentric, not to mention full of personality.
