2003 Graacher Domprobst Auslese Goldkapsel

Concerning Schaefer’s 2003 Riesling Auslese Graacher Domprobst A.P. #1404, my notes read: “Sophia Loren in a bottle!” Its raspberry, red currant, talcum powder, botrytis, and flower scents lead to an awesomely sexy and sensual personality. There isn’t an angle to be found in this wine as it offers a mouthful of voluptuous curves. Sweet, plush, and richly broad, its medium to full-bodied character exhibits apple compote and red fruit flavors that linger throughout its exemplary finish. Projected maturity: 2007-2030.
