Bright, deep red. Oaky aromas of dark raspberry, potpourri and sassafras. Creamy, rich and broad, showing a very ripe flavor of creme de mur along with sexy oak tones. This broad, sweet, pliant wine conveys an almost 2009-like impression of surmaturite. Expands impressively on the ripely tannic finish.

(from very well-placed "Noellat-Jayer vines" between 80 and 90 years of age, according to Laurent): Red-ruby. Knockout nose combines black raspberry, black cherry, flowers, chocolate and a hint of leather. At once sappy and voluminous, with strong medicinal reserve to its black cherry fruit. Suave tannins and explosive length on the expanding finish. Grand cru quality here.
