Very ripe but subdued aromas of mirabelle and menthol. Plump and densely packed, with a fairly strong stony, mineral quality giving this a more classically dry impression. Here the finish is suave and long, with good mineral grip. This has turned out very well.

A little nutty but otherwise fairly reticent. Seems less concentrated than the Folatières, certainly less open. More mineral on the finish. (JH)
Medium yellow. Pineapple and stone on the nose. More minerally in the mouth than the Folatieres but also tight and backward, with a faintly exotic element. This is thick and ripe but comes across as less sweet today than the Folatieres-and perhaps less sweet than usual for this cuvee at this stage of its evolution. The lingering finish features a candied quality and a note of bay leaf.

Domaine Paul Pernot is synonymous with Puligny-Montrachet. For the last 30 years, the estate – alongside Domaine Leflaive and Domaine de Montille (previously Château de Puligny-Montrachet) – has been one of the largest shareholders in the appellation.
